SINGLES PLAY
Under 25’s: 2 BOWLS,21 SHOTS THE VICTOR - 3 VISITS TO THE HEAD PER GAME
MEN’S: 4 BOWLS 21, SHOTS THE VICTOR - 3 VISITS TO THE HEAD PER GAME
O60’s: 4 BOWLS 21, SHOTS THE VICTOR - 3 VISITS TO THE HEAD PER GAME
MENS PAIRS & MIXED PAIRS
2 BOWLS 21 ENDS OR 2 HOURS PLAY NO VISITS TO HEAD
MENS RINK & MIXED RINK
2 BOWLS 18 ENDS OR 2 HOURS PLAY NO VISITS TO THE HEAD
ARRANGING GAMES:
THE HOME TEAM SHALL PROVIDE THE OPPOSING OPONNET/TEAMTHREE (3) DATES,
WHICH SHALL NOT ALL FALL WITHIN THE SAME CALENDAR WEEK.
DATE EXTENSIONS: NO EXTENSIONS TO SCHEDULED PLAYING DATES SHALL BE PERMITTED UNLESS EXPRESSLY
AUTHORISED BY THE INDOOR COMPETITION SECRETARY.
TRIAL ENDS:
ALL GAMES WILL BE STRAIGHT OFF NO TRIAL ENDS.
DRAWN GAME:
IN THE EVENT THAT MATCH IS DRAWN WITHIN THE PRESCRIBED TWO-HOUR PLAYING TIME, AN ADDITIONAL END SHALL BE PLAYED.
WHERE THE PRESCRIBED TWO-HOUR PLAYING TIME HAS ELAPSED, THE MATCH RESULT SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ENDS WON BY EACH TEAM.
IF THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ENDS WON IS EQUAL, THE TEAM THAT WON THE FIRST END OF THE MATCH SHALL BE DECLARED THE WINNER.
Please Note National rules (2023):
9.12 (a) Senior singles – To qualify to enter you must be 65 or over on the 1 st September in the season the competiton is
played.
9.12 (c) U25’s – To qualify to enter, you must be under the age of 25 years on the 1st September in the season the
competition is played.
9.8 Matches shall be played within the boundary of the home county bowling association area. Those county bowling associations with no indoor facilities available to them or where residential proximity necessitates home matches may be played on a mutually agreed indoor green. To simplify……If you play at an indoor bowls centre that is out of the Nottinghamshire County but it is your nearest centre this would come under the residential proximity part of the ruling, the opponent would be required to mutually agree to play outside of the Nottinghamshire County at your venue. If the opposition objects, the home player is required to offer an alternative venue within the Nottinghamshire County.
9.9 In all indoor competitions, green fees shall be shared equally between both sides.
Where possible, please use the competition portal to enter results. Alternatively, you can message your result to the competition secretary within 24 hours of playing the tie.
