On Sunday 3rd April 2022, a team of 6 committee members took part in the Eversley Trophy Competition at Newark Indoor Bowls Centre.
Nottinghamshire played against rival counties on 2 rinks and won all four games, only dropping one rink point which led to a close finish between themselves and Derbyshire for the title.
On the last match for the Derbyshire team, there were insufficient points scored which resulted in a win for Nottinghamshire for the first time in over 40 years, the last time being in 1979/80.
Well done to Chris Leach, Nick Osborn, Paul Dayus, Mick Warriner, Tom Cox, Mark Dalton and team manager Dave Brownley on winning the national title.
County bowlers enjoy their trip to the seaside !!!
Adams Winnner 2019
Nottinghamshire bowlers bring home National success to the county at the recent EBF finals at Skegness. The Adams team which is made up of 18 players from local bowls clubs across the county had a convincing win against neighbouring rivals Lincolnshire winning 182 shots to 147.
This was the first time our county had won this trophy since 2010 and team captain Nick Osborn dedicated the win to Nottinghamshire’s past chairman, who sadly passed away recently.
Nick also commentated on the approach the county had taken over the last two years, developing and building on the success of the previous season where the Newton team had reached their National final.
